Poem from Pumpkin Spice

A.piece from my seventh book, Pumpkin Spice:


I met him in my 20s

And he understood my self esteem issues

He seen through the lipstick mask I tried to wear

Trying to hide the hurt from the light of the sun

He was brown, dark brown

Not too tall of a glass

With an icy mixture

Smooth crown royal

Gave me knowledge

And I took it home and wrapped my hair with it

Like a head wrap

He was Mahogany rum

Shared a copper wisdom

That mind sexed me until

I couldn't cum out to the clubs

Anymore

After I turned the age of thirty
