Peaceful Words

I can read between metaphors using metaphors to read it

while I write it

A gift which brings peace

Or a piece of understanding

Or again, peace from knowledge

From experience

From wisdom

From freedom...

In which, what is freedom, exactly?

The power of choice, I say

I choose my words, my choice of words

My choice of peaceful words

Because the tongue is laced sharper than death

But if I can speak life, how sharp can a native language be

In its truth

I can read between smilies

Using smilies as I read them and as I write them

Which brings such peace

Or a piece of familiarity

Or of remembrance

A connection perhaps to a place once known

A culture once known

Simply through griots teeth

Storytelling in top tier significance

A magnificent piece

Of peace I feel

When I choose a choice

When I choose a voice

When I choose a word

When I choose a peaceful word

I am a piece....

I can read between the pieces using peace while I read it and write it

I can read between the peace

Using pieces while I read it and write it... Peacefully.
